Bicycle Safety

	Helmets are provided and REQUIRED TO BE WORN! Protective clothing and safety gear is recommended:      Gloves      Eye Wear      Footwear
	Always ride trails and/or equipment within your ability
	Ride single file and allow adequate spacing
	sStay on I&M canal towpath
	Ride defensively
	Understand and test mechanical systems before departing area      Shifting patterns      Brakes

Rental Rules

	Ride only on roads and designated trails; off-trail riding is specifically prohibited.
	Jumping a bike or skidding of tires is specifically prohibited

	Renters should understand that they ride at their own risk

Payment for damages due to abuse or failure to obey the rules may include,
in addition to repair costs, compensation for lost rental income and staff time expenses.
