FAQ’s

Are Kayaks stable?

ABSOLUTELY!   Kayaks are even more stable than canoes because you sit in the boat lower than the waterline.  TANDEM KAYAKS ARE VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO TIP.  Also Kayaks have a low freeboard which means that they are less prone to being pushed around by the wind AND  you are using a double bladed paddle which makes them more efficient when your partner stops paddling! ;)

Can 3 ppl ride in one kayak?

YES!  Our Tandem Kayaks will hold up to 550 pounds and can easily fit 2 adults and 1 small child(Less than 70 pounds) or a small dog(less than 40lbs) in the middle.  As long as total passengers and gear weight are under 550 pounds you are good to go.  Best of all we dont charge extra for the 3rd person for rentals! Also if you have a dog that is over 40 pounds they can ride as a second passenger in a tandem.

Do you allow dogs?

YES! We allow dogs in campsites, kayak rentals and guided kayak tours.  Must sign a waiver and agree to  our rules.

Do you allow alcohol?

We allow alcohol in the campground. We DO NOT allow alcohol in any rented kayak.

Can we rent one kayak and trade off passengers?

No. We do not allow swapping of passengers for kayak rentals. The kayak rental passengers must remain the same throughout the entire rental period.  No Exceptions!
