STARVED ROCK STATE PARK Beginner Kayak Lesson and guided KAYAK TOUR
Sat July 26th 9AM-12PM(instruction & Free Paddle time)
Meet at Lone Point Shelter, Starved Rock State Park
This trip is not to be missed! If you have been to this wonderful state park you know how beautiful it is. With its majestic St. Peters sandstone bluffs towering over the Illinois river to the canyons carved out deep along the shore line this state park has been consistently rated #1 in Illinois.
For this trip we will be kayaking for aprox. 3 hours. We will kayak back into LaSalle canyon and Illinois canyon(water level dependent). The views from the water are amazing! Wear water shoes(no flip flops). We will launch from lone point shelter, which has plenty of parking. This is an out and back trip which means we will be returning to our starting point. No shuttle is needed.

Double(Tandem Kayak) $35 per person
11y.o. and above must be accompanied by an adult 18+ in the same boat
(Please note that if you sign up as a single you will be placed with another paddler in a tandem kayak)

TERMS & CONDITIONS:
We have a very flexible policy for you and provide you the opportunity to secure/guarantee boats for your use well in advance of your date of arrival. Because we are removing these boats from our reservation system to reserve them for your use and noone elses, we maintain a policy that ALL SALES ARE FINAL and NO REFUNDS will be issued after payment is complete. We are however very flexible as we understand there are the “What If’s” in life! In the event that you contact us 24 hours in advance of your reservation date/time, we will hold a credit for you to use, GOOD UNTIL Oct 15, 2014. If you fail to contact us prior to 24 hours of your date/time of reservation, you forfeit your credit. We do not impose any cancellation fee/penalty. We simply hold your reservation for use on another date in the future. KayakMorris also reserves the right to reschedule events/trips within 48 hours of event, due to severe weather and/or flooding or a lack of the minimum number of participants(5). . If you are having difficulty with payment through our online booking system, you may remit amount due through Paypal to KAYAKMORRIS@aol.com and we will then manually change your reservation status from cancelled to confirmed. You are always welcome to call or text us at 630-567-4653 for same day(only) availability if you would rather not prebook.
I-39 Southbound – South to I-80 east (exit #59.) Go 2 miles to exit #81 (Rt. 178, Utica). Go south (right) 4 miles on Rt. 178 to Rt.71. Turn left on Rt.71 and travel 5 miles to the east end of Starved Rock State Park. Follow sign to Lone Point Shelter.
I-39 Northbound – North to exit #48 (Tonica exit). Go east (right) for approximately 5 miles to the T intersection, which is Rt. 178. Go north (left) for approximately 5 miles to the intersection of Rt. 178 & Rt. 71. Turn right on Rt. 71 and travel 5 miles to the east end of Starved Rock State Park. Follow sign to Lone Point Shelter.
I – 80 Eastbound & Westbound – Get off at exit #81 (Rt.178, Utica). Go south 4 miles on Rt.178 to Rt. 71. Turn left on Rt. 71 and travel 5 miles to the east end of Starved Rock State Park. Follow sign to Lone Point Shelter.
From Chicago area – Take I-294 or I-355 south to I-55. Take I-55 to I-80. Go west on I-80, 45 miles to exit #81 (Rt.178, Utica). Go south (left) 4 miles on Rt. 178 to Rt. 71. Turn left on Rt.71 and travel 5 miles to east end of park. Follow sign to Lone Point Shelter.
