Campgrounds Illinois
We are one of the closest campgrounds to Chicago. Our campground is right on the sandy wooded shores of the Illinois River and backs up to the I & M Canal in the back. Our GLampout events are super popular and bring ppl from all walks of life and camping ability levels together for 24 hours of fun and festivities. Our campgrounds are both right on the Illinois river and enjoy wonderful access to recreational activities of all kinds. Nearby are biking trails, geocaching, and convenience stores. You can also fish right from our shoreline. Lots of people catch catfish, small mouth, crappie and more. We have kayak rentals and kayak tours available at both locations. Kayak Morris campgrounds illinois has fully wooded camping and sandy beaches. Kayak starved rock campground is located directly across the campgrounds illinois river from starved rock state park and located right on the river. It has semi wooded sites that are available for not only tent camping but also for pop up campers and tear drop campers. We have jumbo bundles of wood for sale for $10 each. We also have tents for rent. They are 9 foot by 10 foot footprint and are available for rent for $20 per night. Sleeping cushions are also for sale to make your sleeping more comfortable for $6. Many campers bring fishing poles, bikes, coleman stoves, etc. If you forget something at our morris location walmart, walgreens, jewel and a multitude of other stores are within one to three miles away from the campground. Walmart carries a lot of Camping illinois equipment so if you forgot something you can pick it up there. There is a 24 hour ice/water kiosk directly behind walgreens in morris
